Coming Soon: The NC Kitchen!

We’re not far away from our 6 month birthday at Nolton Corner, good golly – time has flown!

A lot of our lovely customers have been quick to ask us if and when we plan to serve food. Well, over the past 6 weeks we’ve been working very hard at putting the foundations in place to piece together and then launch our kitchen. So this blog is to tell you a little more about what we’re planning.

The space for our kitchen was allocated when we brought Nolton Corner to life from a tired old office space. A time when we stripped the building back and took over 50 tonnes of rubbish & rubble out of her.

Now that the space is set and it’s slowly being filled with equipment… extraction units, cookers, grills, refrigeration, washers, you name it! So what’s next? Well we’ve sorted suppliers and we’re now piecing together a menu (alongside the task of all the super fun paperwork and admin)


THE MENU

A lot has been asked about the type of food we’ll be serving… People have kindly suggested everything from gourmet burgers to pizzas, but there’s been one word and cuisine that’s cropped up more than most… tapas!

Well we won’t strictly be serving tapas by the exact definition of the word, in that our menu will not be themed or based on Spanish cuisine… However, we will be serving a variety of hot & cold sharing boards and grazing platters rather than simply individual meals and full plates – so in a similar trait to our Mediterranean cooking amigos, we’ll be encouraging people to share food and enjoy conversation along with their drinks.

Here’s a small sample of what we’ll be offering:


A brunch menu til 2pm

PORRIDGE – Served with fresh fruit & Welsh honey

EGGS BENEDICT/FLORENTINE/ROYALE – Free range, Welsh eggs served on a toasted muffin

BREAKFAST BURRITO – Scrambled eggs, chorizo, peppers, guacamole, cheddar, Frank’s RedHot.

Sandwiches – Choice of bread, all served with slaw and triple cooked chips

NOLTON CLUB – Three layers of bacon, chicken, iceberg, tomato, avocado, mayo, cheddar

LONGSHORE DRIFT – Fish goujons, rocket, tartare sauce

ITALIAN TENOR – Cured meats, mozzarella, tomato, rocket
