We’ve had plenty of enquiries over recent weeks as to our plans for the upcoming Six Nations Championship, and whilst it may come as a shock to many, we can confirm that for 2015 Nolton Corner is a rugby free zone.
We don’t have any televisions or screens at Nolton Corner, so this has been a relatively easy decision for us to make. We are a cocktail, wine and craft beer bar – not a sports bar. There are numerous fantastic venues in Bridgend where live sport is frequently shown, but not many offering a sanctuary away from it… we fall into the latter category.
So whether you’re off out to watch the rugby or you’re staying in for it, we hope you enjoy yourself. If you’re not too keen on ‘egg-chasing’, then come and see us… we’re open as usual. But please remember that if you’re coming to see us after the final whistle, you will be refused entry if you’re intoxicated. We’d also advise against wearing a daffodil/dragon/leak(s) on your head as our door-staff may reserve the right to refuse you based on our ‘smart-casual’ dress code. This may also apply to scrum caps, baselayers and gumshields… so please don’t be offended. Dress to impress and you’ll have no problem.
Our kitchen opens later this month (Friday 20th February) so win, lose or draw, we’ll look forward to welcoming and feeding you all then.
Ps. Good luck Wales.
