This weekend (Friday 18th July) at NC we welcome two new wonderful tipples to our family of liquid nourishment.
We’re very excited to announce that we’ll be pouring our first beer from Thornbridge Brewery. Now if this wasn’t exciting enough, it’s going to be none other than the infamous ‘Jaipur’ a 5.9% India Pale Ale. For those unfamiliar with Jaipur, it’s a firm favourite at some of our favourite boozers like The Coach, The Bunch of Grapes & Urban Tap House. Now obviously we won’t have it on cask like those three ale houses, we’ve it on keg… But don’t dismay, the citrus dominated IPA is soft and smooth like its cask counterpart and builds to a crescendo of massive hoppiness accentuated by honey. And hold your horses, it was voted best keg ale in the World at the 2010 Brewing Industry International Awards.
What’s that you say? You’re not into beer? Oh, you like gin.
Well guess what… we’ve got an epic new gin to unveil too.
A warm welcome to Hoxton Gin, a trendy gin from Gerry Calabrese of the Hoxton Pony, one of the most stylish of London’s style bars. It’s made with some very interesting botanicals used including tarragon, iris, grapefruit and, most unusually… coconut. Not only is it versatile with the head notes of grapefruit and coconut opening up bright new avenues of what gin can be mixed with. Nor does it merely reinvigorate classic cocktails and combinations such as the Tom Collins and G&T with a stunningly contemporary twist. The real brilliance lies in the fact that unlike other Gin’s you can drink it on its own! It’s so refreshing all you need is ice and a slice of lemon!
We can’t wait to see how this compares to the rest of our gin family… Brockmans vs. Hoxton, this weekend at NC. Ding Ding!
